Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE)

The Indian Society for Technical Education is a national, professional, non-profit making society registered under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. The major objective of the ISTE is to assist and contribute to the production and development of top-quality professional engineers and technicians needed by industries and other organizations. Being the only national organization of educators in the field of engineering and technology, ISTE effectively contributes to various missions of the Union Government. The Ministry of Human Resource Development, CTE / DST / MIT / State Governments are well associated with the ISTE for programmes relating to technical education. The headquarters of ISTE is located in New Delhi.

ISTE at ACET
Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology is an Institutional Member of ISTE, with both ISTE Staff Chapter and ISTE Student Chapter. The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) Student Chapter at ACET was established in 2023. The ISTE chapter grants ACET students access to conventions held at other institutions as well as the chance to apply for regional ISTE student awards.

LIST OF EVENT IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2023-2024:

• Two days workshop on “Artificial Intelligence(AI) and Internet of Things(IoT) for Revolutionizing Industry by Smart Technologies” was organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association and Industry Institute Partnership(IIPC) with ISTE at Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore on 17.03.2025 &18.03.2025 for the students of II ECE ,III ECE,II EEE,IICSE & MEchatronics. The workshop was conducted by Ms.S.Sushman & Mr.Jagadeswaran R, Senior Technical Engineer, Enthu Technology Solutions India Pvt Ltd.
• ISTE Sponsored One-day Regional Seminar on “3D chips: Revolutionizing Electronics for Faster and more Efficient Computing” was organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association and Industry Institute Partnership(IIPC) with ISTE at Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, on 30th August 2025, for the students of IV-year ,III-year ECE & III EEE. The workshop was conducted by Professor Dr. P. Saravanan, Professor Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering,PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore – 641 004 and Ms. Vaishnavi Saravanan,RF Test lead, Caliber Interconnect Solutions, Poombukar Nagar, Thudiyalur, Coimbatore-641034.
• The inauguration of the ISTE (Indian Society for Technical Society) Faculty and Student Chapter at Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, was successfully held on August 26, 2023. Prof. Dr. G. Maheswaran, Executive Council Member, ISTE New Delhi, graced the inaugural function.
• The guest lecture on “Emerging Trends in Industrial Embedded System & its Applications at Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, was successfully held on 26th March 2024. The guest lecture was conducted by Mr. Mohan kumar Selvaraj, Embedded Developer, Bosch Global Software Technologies, Coimbatore.
• A workshop on “Mobile Chip Level Training and Debugging” was organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with ISTE at Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, on March 25 and 26, 2024, for the students of II-year ECE and III-year ECE. The workshop was conducted by Dr. B. Krishna Kumar, Founder-CEO, New Technology Mobile Service and Training Institute, Coimbatore.

About ICTAcademy:

Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology collaborated with ICT Academy to promote skill development and improve the employability of students in the IT and technology sectors. • Akshaya College of Engineering & Technology, received the “MongoDB Skilling Excellence Award” from ICT Academy in recognition of its exceptional commitment to student empowerment through technology skilling, successfully enabling 500 students to complete the MongoDB Skill-a-thon 2025 (Certificate ID: MDB-7545-643).
• Mrs. K. Malarvizhi, AP / CSE, received the “Certificate of Mentorship Excellence” in appreciation of her outstanding dedication and coordination efforts during the MongoDB Skill-a-thon 2025, enabling over 500 students from the institution to successfully complete the program (Certificate ID: MDB-75456-100).
• Akshaya College of Engineering & Technology, has been recognized as a Center of Excellence for Youth Empowerment and received the Certificate of Membership from Infosys Foundation and ICT Academy for training students as Java Software Developers under the Infosys Foundation Finishing School for Employability.

• Akshaya College of Engineering & Technology, was awarded the MongoDB for Academia Partnership Certificate by ICT Academy, in recognition of its valued partnership in the MongoDB Academia Program.
• Mrs.Amutha N, AP/AI&DS has attended Faculty Development Program on Data Analytics using python conducted by Sri Krishna College Of Technology on 08 July 2024 to 12 July 2024.
• Dr. M Malini, ASP/CS&BS and Mr. S. Poorna Prakashhas, AP/AI&DS has attended Faculty Development Program on Microsoft Azure AI Engineer conducted by Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences on 02 Dec 2024 to 06 Dec 2024
• The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in association with ICT Academy and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), organized a Faculty Development Program (FDP) on the topic “UiPath Robotics Process Automation” from January 6, 2025, to January 10, 2025.A total of 27 faculty members successfully completed the program and received certification. We received a fund of ₹54,000 from MeitY upon the successful completion of this program, recognizing our efforts in facilitating faculty skill development in advanced automation technologies.
• Akshaya College of Engineering & Technology, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, received a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of successfully completing 100 student learnings during Learnathon 2024, conducted from August to October 2024.
• Mrs. M. Nisha, AP (Sr.G) / CSE, and Mrs. K. Malarvizhi, AP / CSE, from Akshaya College of Engineering & Technology received Certificates of Appreciation in acknowledgment of their dedication and effort in successfully guiding 100 students through their learning journey during Learnathon 2024, conducted from August to October 2024.
• The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in association with ICT Academy, organized a Power Seminar on the topic “Decoding the Future – The Corporate Perspective” for all CSE students on 03rd October 2024 (Thursday) from 11.00 AM to 12.30 PM in Conference Hall II. Resource Person: Ms. Manjari Anandan, Founder & CEO, Zhagaram Consulting Insights Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore.
• The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, in association with ICT Academy, organized a Power Seminar on the topic “Career Opportunities in IT and ITES Sector” for all CSE students on 18th March 2025 (Tuesday) from 11.00 AM to 12.45 PM in Conference Hall II. Resource Person: Mr. Joel Prince, Senior Associate, Cognizant Technology Solutions, Coimbatore.
• Mrs.G.Balambigai, AP/EEE and Mr.Vinoth.S,AP/Mect has attended Faculty Development Program on Electric Vehicle System-Level Modelling and Simulation using MATLAB & Simulink conducted by PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research on 19 February 2024 to 23 February 2024.

SAE COLLEGIATE CLUB OF ACET

SAE is the leader in connecting and educating mobility professionals to enable safe, clean, and accessible mobility solutions. The SAE Collegiate Club of Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology is part of the SAE India Southern Section.
The objective of the SAE Collegiate Club is to provide practical exposure to a professional engineering society as well as a focal point for campus engineering programs and projects. Collegiate clubs offer student members opportunities to organize programs and activities, fellowship, and gain leadership experience.

• The inauguration of the SAE INDIA ACET Collegiate Club at Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, was successfully held on 18th August 2023, with, Dr. K. Siva, Chairman, SAEISS, as the Chief Guest.
• A Guest Lecture on “Introduction to Autonomous Vehicles” was scheduled for August 18, 2023. This insightful lecture promised to offer a comprehensive overview of the fascinating world of autonomous vehicles and their implications for the future of transportation.
• Two-Day Workshop on Automotive Powertrain Systems, was hosted by Ambal Autos in Coimbatore. This workshop was scheduled for September 2nd and 3rd, 2023.

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)

Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology has partnered with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to strengthen the connection between academia and industry. This collaboration aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge required to meet industry standards while fostering innovation and entrepreneurship. Through this partnership, students and faculty gain access to various opportunities, including industry interaction programs, workshops, and seminars on emerging technologies.
