Empowering Futures: A Glimpse into Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology
Akshaya College of Engineering and Technology (ACET) is an autonomous institution approved by AICTE and affiliated with Anna University. Established in 2009 by the Akshaya Charitable Trust, the college offers nine undergraduate programmes and two Ph.D. programmes. The institution earned NAAC accreditation in 2022, while the Departments of Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering received NBA accreditation in 2024, and our students securing 80 university rank holders reflecting the commitment to quality education.
ACET provides excellent infrastructure, advanced laboratories, and highly qualified faculty members with extensive industrial expertise. The institution supports students through scholarships, industry collaborations, and over 50 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) for internships, placements, value-added courses, and collaborative projects. It has established Centres of Excellence in association with Texas Instruments, iHUB Robotics, CISCO, Praya XR Hub, CareSoft, Tessolve, Hackup Technology and the Akshaya-SmartDV R&D Centre to promote innovation in Robotics & AI, VLSI, Automobile, AR & VR, Cybersecurity and Networking technologies.
With strong placement records in companies such as Amazon, Infosys, Cognizant, Capgemini, Stellantis, Renault Nissan, TCS, Hexaware, CareSoft, Messer-Cutting Systems, ACET continues to foster research-based learning and prepare students for successful careers and future challenges.
The institution has received several prestigious grants from organizations including AICTE, MeitY, MSME, ICT Academy, TNSCST, and PMKVY. ACET’s vibrant research ecosystem has produced over 500 journal publications, 100 patents and several book publications. The college also maintains active professional memberships in IEEE, IE(I), ISTE, CSI, IETE, SAE, RSI, etc.,
ACET offers a Wi-Fi-enabled green campus focusing on SDGs with hostel facilities, transportation services, and participated in various rankings including: Sustainability Rankings, STEM Rankings and HE Higher Education Rankings. The college encourages holistic student development through clubs, NSS, NCC, Hackathons, symposiums, and the national-level cultural fest Aksharika’25. Students actively participate in Tech Day, Science Day, and Demo Day, showcasing innovative projects and technical expertise. With the support of incubation facilities and entrepreneurial guidance provided by the Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC) and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC), ACET nurtures students by fostering innovation, research, startup culture, and industry-oriented skills development.
