About the Department

The rapid evolution of technology and the increasing dependence on digital systems have made Cybersecurity a critical field in today’s world. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Cybersecurity) is established in 2026 with an annual intake of 30 students, aiming to meet the increasing demand for skilled professionals in information security and cyber defense. The programme emphasizes strong theoretical foundations, hands-on practical training, and exposure to contemporary tools and technologies in Cybersecurity. It aims to equip students with the ability to identify vulnerabilities, analyze threats, and design secure computing systems.

With a well-structured curriculum focusing on network security, ethical hacking, cryptography, digital forensics, cloud security, and security operations, faculty expertise and industry-relevant training, the department aims to prepare students to meet challenges in Cybersecurity and contribute to the development of a secure and resilient digital society.

The department also promotes research, innovation, and industry collaboration to ensure that graduates are well-prepared to meet real-world challenges while upholding ethical and professional responsibilities.

Graduates from the department are well-prepared for roles such as Security Analyst, Ethical Hacker, SOC Analyst, and Cybersecurity Consultant, contributing effectively to building a secure digital environment.
